the fact of light and dark is meant for wherever these projects are placed. either in a more dull and shady environment for dark glazed, when the light areas and more colorful are for the light glazed projects. Vases are a sort of decoration and storage for plants usually flowers. My Bowls are for anything, foods, items, cat water bowl, ect. the fact these bowls can be used for anything gives it such meaning to me.

From the beginning my projects have been poor, id have to say i came back rusty as an advanced student. The vase's where my favorite, the shape and curvature gives each vase a defining look. my first vases weren't even vases, more like a cylinder with a lip, later on the vases got easier with more curves, taller and better made lips. I figured it out by pulling more clay up than usual and it gave me the chance to create the curved effect on the vase. The bowls i kept simple, all are different with light and dark glazes, each bowl created i use for different things. 

This semester i have been more focused on the makings of simple projects with the addition to light and dark glazes to enhance the thought and image of each project. I planned to create each project with care and glaze with an artistic mind set. 

this semester i have focused on the makings of vases and bowls, if u must ask why its because i admire the fact bowls can be used for a variety of different things, as to vase are more a decoration and the bigger the imagination the more appealing the vase turns out to be.
